So, how did this all begin?

I’ve been a fantasy reader since middle school, devouring every dragon-filled, spellbound story I could find. But as life often does, my path led me away from reading for pleasure while I pursued my education, started a family, and started a teaching career. I ultimately earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2020. My time was devoted to education, career, and family for years, leaving little room for the books that once fueled my imagination.

In 2023, I knew it was time to return to my love for fantasy stories. I dove headfirst back into reading and, in 2024, expanded my passion by selling new and used books on Amazon. But I wanted something more—a way to create an immersive reading experience and build a thriving community where fellow fantasy lovers could connect. I launched Talon & Tome, where readers can discover new books, enjoy exclusive bookish items, and share a love for fantasy.
