At Talon & Tome, we're committed to your satisfaction with every purchase. Please read our refund policy carefully to understand your options.

All Talon & Tome products are made-to-order and custom-printed specifically for you. This approach allows us to:

  • Offer unique, fantasy-inspired designs
  • Minimize waste and environmental impact
  • Keep costs affordable while maintaining quality

Because each item is created just for you, we have specific guidelines about returns and refunds.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect size selection (please review size charts before ordering)
  • Color variations (monitor displays may vary slightly from actual product colors)
  • Standard delivery timeframes
  • Personal preference changes

We encourage you to carefully review product descriptions, sizing information, and images before placing your order.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

How to Request a Return/Refund:

  1. Contact us within 30 days of delivery
    • Email: talonandtomebookbox@gmail.com 
    • Include your order number in the subject line
  2. Provide the following information:
    • Your order number
    • Clear photo(s) showing the damage, defect, or incorrect item
    • Brief description of the issue
  3. We'll respond within 24-48 business hours (Monday-Friday)

Resolution Process:

Once we receive your claim with photos:

  1. Review - We'll assess your case within 1-2 business days
  2. Approval - Qualifying issues will be approved for replacement or refund
  3. Resolution Options:
    • Replacement: We'll produce and ship a new item at no charge (typical choice)
    • Refund: Full refund to your original payment method
    • Partial Refund: For minor defects where you'd like to keep the item
  4. Timeframe:
    • Replacements: 3-5 business days production + shipping time
    • Refunds: Processed within 5-7 business days after approval, may take additional 5-10 days to appear in your account

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

We stand behind the quality of our products. If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will make it right.

What Qualifies for Return/Refund:

Damaged items - Item arrived with visible damage from shipping
Defective products - Manufacturing defects, printing errors, or quality issues
Wrong item received - Incorrect product, size, or design was shipped
Missing items - Part of your order did not arrive

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Lost or Stolen Packages

If your tracking shows the package was delivered but you didn't receive it:

  1. Check with neighbors, building management, or household members
  2. Contact your local post office with the tracking number
  3. Email us at talonandtomebookbox@gmail.com within 7 days of the delivery date

We'll work with you to resolve the situation, which may include filing a claim with the carrier or sending a replacement.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Cancellations

Order cancellation requests must be submitted within 12 hours of placing your order.

Once production begins, we cannot cancel or modify orders. Please email talonandtomebookbox@gmail.com immediately if you need to cancel.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at talonandtomebookbox@gmail.com.
